My name is Brooke Collins and I am a Registered Psychotherapist at LifeSpring Counselling and Psychotherapy Services. It has always been my desire to help others through psychotherapy. I felt a call to this profession from a young age. I have a natural inclination to listen, empathize, and help others create stability and clarity out of confusion. As you share with me your story I listen with gentleness and ears trained to find the root causes of your problems. My aim is to empower you to make the lasting changes you want for your life.
At our first visit we will start to envision how you want your life to be different as a result of our time together. This will be your goal and it will act as our compass to make sure you are moving in the direction you want to be going.

My Education and Experience

I have an MDiv. Counselling from Heritage Seminary and I am a Registered Psychotherapist in the province of Ontario. Professionally over the past 10 years I have invested in learning and applying essential therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

I am invested in providing Holistic Client Centered Therapy. To provide that care I have also earned a certificate in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health; A certificate in The Neurobiological Legacy of Traumatic Events and most recently a course on the Polyvagal Theory by Stephen Porges.

Personally, I have used my own healing experiences to provide new opportunities for my clients. I have recently been diagnosed with a chronic illness and the impact on my life has been dramatic. Applying therapeutic principles of Behavioural therapies, trauma and memory recovery and solution focused therapies has helped me to find a baseline for recovery. As I have personally integrated psychotherapies with a knowledge of the body and mind, and with a deep personal faith in Christ I have developed a strong foundation of self-care I can now confidently offer to others.

As a mom of two beautiful children, I have learned to navigate the precious roles of being a mother as well as living out my calling as a therapist. It has been a learning journey to balance self-care, professional growth and family life but having developed these skills I can competently help you navigate those transitions as you lean into all that God has called you to. Every women’s story is different I am here to help you embrace your own personal path; to empower you to trust God and to trust in your own gifts and abilities.
